Preparation & Repair

Stucco patching and crack repair

Cracks cut out, patched and the texture matched — so the repair disappears instead of reading as a patch.

Almost every stucco house in the valley cracks. The stucco expands and contracts through a 40-degree swing between a July afternoon and a January night, and it has to go somewhere.

Why you cannot just paint over it

Paint bridges a hairline crack for one season and then splits along exactly the same line, which now looks worse because the split is a straight dark line through fresh colour. The crack has to be opened up, filled and re-textured before any colour goes near it.

Matching the texture

This is the part that separates a repair from a patch. Valley stucco comes in a handful of common finishes and they do not look alike up close. Matched properly, you cannot find the repair once it is painted. Matched badly, you can see it from the street forever.

What we do not do

Small repairs only. If the stucco is failing over a large area, or there is dry rot behind it, that is a stucco contractor's job — and it needs doing before painting, not instead of it. We will tell you which one you have.

Getting a price

Estimates are free and there are four ways to get one: we come out, you send photos, a video call, or over the phone. For a single room a photo is usually enough.

Ask for a free estimate, or call or text (209) 675-8845. Monday to Friday, 8am to 7pm — most weeks we can start within the week.

Ask about this job

Free estimate, no pressure, and a straight answer about what it takes.
