These terms cover the use of this website. They are not the agreement for a painting job — that is a separate written estimate and contract between you and PIR Painting Services, and nothing on this website replaces it.
Who runs this site
PIR Painting Services, a sole proprietorship. California contractor licence CSLB #1137297, classification C-33, Painting and Decorating. Mailing address: P O Box 2854, Merced, CA 95344. Phone (209) 675-8845.
You can verify that licence yourself at cslb.ca.gov, and we would rather you did.
Estimates are not contracts
Anything on this site — descriptions of work, durations, examples of finished jobs — is a description of how we work, not an offer or a quote. A price becomes a price when it is given to you in writing for your specific job. Nothing here binds either of us until that is agreed.
Durations quoted on this site are typical, not guaranteed. A three-bedroom interior usually takes about a week; yours depends on its condition, its size, and the weather if any of it is outside.
When you send an estimate request
You are telling us the information you give is yours to give and is accurate as far as you know. If you send photographs of a property, you are confirming you are entitled to share them.
Sending a request does not book anything and does not create an obligation on either side. We will get back to you; you are free to go elsewhere.
Photographs on this site
Photographs of finished work are of real jobs done by PIR Painting Services, published with the property owner's permission. Some illustrative images on this site are not photographs of specific jobs, and are never presented as though they were.
Colours shown on a screen are not colour matches. Screens differ, and paint changes with the light in the room. Choose a colour from a real sample, not from this website.
What we do not do
We do not paint roofs, take work requiring a lift, or accept small touch-up jobs. Repairs are limited to small stucco and siding patching. These limits are stated so nobody wastes a call, and they are not negotiable on the phone.
Links to other sites
Where this site links elsewhere — the CSLB licence lookup, Google, Yelp, Facebook — those sites are not ours and we are not responsible for what is on them.
Limits
This website is provided as it is. We keep it accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is free of errors or always available. To the extent California law allows, PIR Painting Services is not liable for loss arising from use of this website — which is a separate question from our responsibility for painting work we are contracted to do, and that responsibility is unaffected by anything in this paragraph.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The version on this page is the one that applies.
Governing law
California law applies, and the courts of Merced County are the venue for any dispute about this website.
